EXPERIENCE:

Mr. Toles began his professional career with the Pickering firm as a Structural Technician where he progressed to Structural Design Engineer and contributed to many significant projects. He is very knowledgeable and experienced in the design of concrete frames, structural steel, foundations, retaining walls, culverts, and other special structures. While at Pickering, for over 10 years Mr. Toles acquired experience supervising, reviewing, and coordinating the work of engineers, technicians and others who assisted in specific assignments involved with the design of structural components for commercial, industrial and institutional projects.

Mr. Toles then spent 4 years with Memphis Light, Gas, & Water Division gaining Project Management and Administrative experience. During his tenure, he analyzed cost performance reports while tracking cost and schedule variances of the Coal Gasification Project. He also served as a liaison between developers and Memphis Light, Gas & Water Division while coordinating the design and locations of all affected utilities.

Mr. Toles spent 4.5 years, after leaving MLG&W, with Federal Express Corporation as a Project Manager, coordinating the design and construction of Federal Express Field Operating Facilities across the United States.

Mr. Toles founded TOLES & ASSOCIATES, INC. after accumulating over 18 years of Architectural and Engineering experience as indicated above. He is primarily responsible for Design, Client Relations and Marketing for the Firm. His years of experience and expertise in administering multi-million dollar projects while working with Memphis Light Gas, & Water and Federal Express Corporation bring to the firm a wealth of knowledge and ability. As the firm grew, Mr. Toles added environmental consulting to the many layers of engineering. He is certified as an asbestos designer/inspector as well as an asbestos supervisor. His expertise has allowed him to provide abatement design and project over site for many clients including the Memphis City Schools and the City of Memphis.

Prepares all quarterly taxes, year-end financial reporting and prepare corporate taxes return.  Monitors project schedules with emphasis on timelines and project costs.  Assists in bid preparation and negotiation.  Assists with technical writing reviews and market for new projects and clients.   Represent business owner at meetings and conferences.  Other responsibilities include maintaining the company's registration with different clients as required.

Mr. Johnson began his career with Toles & Associates, Inc. as a Construction Site Inspector.  Mr. Johnson is responsible for overseeing construction & reconstruction of airport service roads, taxiways, runways and new ground transportation center for multi-million dollar contracts at Memphis International Airport.

Mr. Johnson has experience in Material testing:  Inspection on steel bars for box bridges and culverts, bride decks.  Bridge Inspection:  Observing driven piling 35’ to 65’ using air or diesel hammer, check steel bars, set forms for caps, digging footing for concrete pours and typing steel bars and setting forms.

Prior to joining Toles & Associates, Mr. Johnson Density Testing on compaction on the underground drainage structures backfilled, such as: 18”, 24”, 26”, 48”, 60” and 84” underground pipes for Tennessee Department of Transportation, Memphis, TN.

Reviews all Certified Payroll Reports and Utilization Reports for pay rate compliance as requires per Project's Contract.  Discrepancies are handled by direct follow up contact with Prime Contractor, subcontractors or designated agent for revisions, etc.  Setup and maintain office retention files of all certified payroll reports and utilization reports submitted by Prime and Sub-Contractors.  Distribute, post and maintain office file copies of all/any documents pertaining to directives or charges to contract:  TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:  serial letters, CCD's ESI's RFP's or RFI's and Submittal, all incoming and outgoing correspondence, and meeting summaries for tracking purposes.  Use Primavera Contract Manager 13 for posting and tracking purposes, all correspondence incoming and outgoing and new project setup.  Compile Utilization Reports for U,S. Dept. of Labor submission.  Minimum updating weekly construction meeting agendas and attendee sign-in.  Responsibility involves maintaining accurate accounting of all attachments of weekly logs.  Electronically distributes weekly meeting summaries to applicable parties.  Maintain complete copies of weekly coordination construction agendas and summaries.  Responsible for compilation of Inspector daily log books for printing and binding.  Maintain Inventory of inspector log books.  Post and transmit test reports to contractor and maintain office file copy of all Test Reports.  Setup and maintain all Inspector Files.  Responsible for boxing up project files for off-site storage and maintain off-site inventory log.  Assist with project pre-bid documents and meeting and project pre-construction document and meeting upon management's direction.

Responsibilities consist of duties relevant to all phases of office management & document control for engineering firm.  Assists project manager & project supervisor.  Work includes data entry & processing of all paper work involved with technical field reports for numerous airport projects submitted in regard to Memphis International Airport Developmental by field technicians.  Reports must meet all governmental specifications for requirements varying by project.  Responsible for transmission of all reports to individual project managers for review.  Maintains and updates testing logbooks of all testing data & transmittal of all reports.  Office duties include processing of all invoices to corporate office.  Assists with monthly billing to MSCAA.  Keeps current records of all employee personnel files.  Customer service /  Purchasing /  Reconcile vendor statements & invoicing.
